Secondary Campus (7th thru 12th Grade)

In its inaugural year, First Baptist Academy offers students (grade 7-12) an opportunity to enhance their education by partnering with Florida Virtual School (FLVS).  FBA and FLVS provide core classes as well as numerous additional courses  including Bible, Physical Education, Band, Art, Computer Applications, Video Production, and Foreign Language. All courses are conducted on campus and are facilitated by an FBA Florida Certified teacher.

Looking ahead to the 2010-2011 school year, FBA will make the transition from e-learning to traditional instruction for the Middle School (6th-8th Grades).  The academy will suspend the High School program, but it is keeping the door open to the possibility of expanding to include High School in the future.

Students can choose from the following courses and options:
Mathematics:
Algebra I / Algebra I Honors, Geometry / Geometry Honors, Liberal Arts Math, Algebra II/Algebra II Honors, Pre – Calculus, AP Calculus

Language Arts:
English I / English I Honors, English II / English II Honors, English III / English III Honors, English IV / English IV Honors, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition

Science:
Earth Space Science / ESS Honors, Biology I /Biology Honors, Marine Science / Marine Science Honors, Chemistry I / Chemistry Honors, Physics I / Physics Honors, AP Biology

Social Studies:
Global Studies, Psychology I, World History / World History Honors, American History / American History Honors, American Government / American Government Honors, Economics / Economics Honors, AP US Government and Politics, AP U.S. History, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics

Electives:
Option 1: (No Foreign Language) Select three electives from the following: Physical Education, Band/ Orchestra, Choir, Art, Drama, and Video production

Option 2: Foreign Language plus select two electives from the following: Physical Education, Band, Choir, Foreign Language,  Art, Drama, Video production.
