The Christian educational philosophy practiced by First Baptist Academy is Kingdom Education. The definition of Kingdom Education is the lifelong, Bible-based, Christ-centered process of leading a child into a new identity with Christ and developing a child according to his/her specific abilities given to him/her by Christ, so that a child would be more empowered to live a life characterized by love, trust, and obedience to Christ. The result is that our students will grow and mature spiritually and academically to be like Christ and live lives to honor and glorify God.
This philosophy is built on Biblical principles found in God’s Word that must be intentionally presented and practiced throughout every facet of our lives. No matter what stage of life we, as Christians, are in, the Biblical principles of Kingdom Education must be applied to all learning.
In Dr. Glen Schultz’ book, Kingdom Education, he identifies ten Biblical principles that guide Christian parents, church leaders, and Christian educators on how to educate future generations God’s way.
