About the FBA

Welcome to First Baptist Academy of Jacksonville: a God honoring, Bible centered, college preparatory school of excellence located in downtown Jacksonville.

FBA is a dynamic 21^st Century school whose staff cultivates the hearts, minds, and bodies by emphasizing not only what our students learn, but who they become in Christ. 

Our Bible centered education program is the foundation for every facet of student life.  We integrate Biblical truth and principles in all subjects.  

Using the newest technology, classrooms are equipped to engage students in their learning.  The curriculum promotes interactive learning, problem solving, and critical thinking skills which extend beyond just learning the facts.  In addition to the core academic classes, students participate in daily Bible study and weekly chapel.  Our resource classes include art, vocal and instrumental music, computer and library, and physical education.  We offer opportunities for Christian leadership and service through Safety Patrols and Reading Buddies.  

Our school is housed in a modern, state-of-the-art facility that includes a computer lab, playground, gymnasium, and theater.  In addition, the First Baptist Church dining staff prepares and serves lunch to our students.
